About Us

Hi! My name is Julie and this is my beautiful family that I feel so lucky to call mine.

We live in Rochester Hills, Michigan in the first home we bought together, flipped, got engaged in, and brought our babies home to. I am a stay at home mom of three- Brady (7), Hudson (5.5), and Teagan (4). Yes, we are busy! Prior to being a stay at home mom, I worked as a Campus Recruiter for an accounting firm. It was everything I dreamed of when I graduated with my Human Resources degree from Central Michigan University. This is also were I met my husband, Danny. We have been married for 11 years and don't really remember our lives without kids. :)

When I made the decision to stay at home, I knew it would be a big change but I also knew I wouldn't regret one minute of it. It is the hardest job I have ever had, but the most rewarding. It made sense for our situation and then our situation changed. Just like they say, "nothing is constant but change."

Three years ago, Danny's family business was sold and he became a full-time stay at home parent with me. I know what you are thinking, how nice! It has been. We will never get this time back and know this won't last forever.

But... betwen being quarantined and spending more time together under one roof as a family of 5, it made us look at what more we wanted in life. We talked about new hobbies we could enjoy, how we could give back to the community, and of course strategies to surviving this life we have created. For me at that time, I needed a creative outlet. So what got me through quarantine? I learned how to sew!

I was gifted my first sewing machine back in December 2019 and have been creating, making, and designing ever since. It has truly been my therapy. I would research different items to make and order the fabric online- there is so much to learn about fabric, sewing machines, accessories for my machine...it was like a new world I encountered. I took some courses at my local craft store and off I went!

During the pandemic, we thought it would be fun to create something for our kids to enjoy movie nights, rest times, and play. Since we were "camping out" for a few months we thought, what about tents? Danny cut the wood, I sewed the fabric, and our first set of tents were created! I was so excited and couldn't wait for their reaction... they absolutely loved them! It was the first time in awhile I had seen some excitement to experience something new and make days at home a little more special.

Soon after, friends and family reached out asking about the tents and whether or not they were for sale. A light bulb went off in our heads and we thought this may be something. We worked on a few tent themes- camp out, superheros, camo style- and had a few of those friends and family members try them out and they were a hit!
